We are a cage free alternative with no jail-like facilities of concrete. We have been providing quality dog care  at our dog boarding facility since 1992.

Dogs benefit from their stay at Camp Lisa in ways that may not be initially obvious. As this is a cage-free environment with no separation of the dogs, all of them have to learn to be social, patient, and respectful of the other guests. This environment allows some dogs to greatly improve their communication skills with other dogs, and promotes a dog pack culture.

Dogs are social animals that like to co-exist with other dogs in most cases. They enjoy the interaction in an instinctive way.  What is necessary in this environment is a pack leader for them all to follow. We humans at Camp Lisa dog sitting are strong pack leaders who provide rules, limitations and direction for all our guests. This environment is very beneficial to our guests as there is no uncertainty about their position in the pack, allowing them to become better members of the pack, balanced and happy.

Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and happy place for your dog to stay time and time again.

We have hundreds of pictures of our Guests and Aussies on Facebook.

Welcome to CL Aussies–Quality Australian Shepherds

Our litters are planned well in advance, and involve painstaking research to ensure that we are adhering to the priorities that we deem important in a strong, successful breeding program: Calm Sound Temperament, Physical Health & Type, and Beauty. All our puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). All puppies are from parents who have been certified for Hip clearances through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and are checked for hereditary defects by a Certified Ophthalmologist.

We are very proud of the lengths that we go to produce healthy, happy, outgoing puppies as we believe early socialization is key to a well rounded companion! Our puppies and their mother spend their first 3 weeks of life in the center of our home.  From the beginning, they are exposed to a wide variety of everyday sights and sounds that they will encounter throughout their life.

Based on research about puppy developmental stages, we adhere to a strict protocol that we have developed for both mental and physical stimulation at critical age markers. After 3 weeks, they are outside in the sunshine where both mother and father share in their parental duties. The feedback we receive about the outgoing nature and "fearlessness" of our puppies in their new homes makes all our extra efforts worthwhile!

If after we talk, we mutually agree that a Camp Lisa Australian Shepherd puppy or dog is right for you, we will place you on our waiting list. The placement of our puppies in the right home is our number one priority. Please note that reservations are on a first come basis, so if you are serious about a Camp Lisa puppy please let us know as soon as possible!

Visitors are encouraged by appointment only.

We discourage drop by visits, as they tend to disturb our current guests.
